Unsure about the future of your job? Determined to make the most of AI? Feel like a new tech novice?
Now is not the time to panic – it’s the time to relentlessly search for new opportunities. Think of us as a digital plaza for professionals from every field to meet, mingle, and strategize as a unit.
Every week, we’ll breathe life into the AI conversation by:
→ Getting you up to date with the latest from the fast-paced world of AI
→ Breaking down AI’s evolving impact
→ Passing along some tips to make the most of the moment

Yes, AI is For Real This Time

AI has been lingering in the background of emerging tech convos for years (and by some accounts, decades). So… why is everyone talking about it again? Why does it feel real this time?
While previous iterations of AI went through cycles of promise, investment, and under-delivery, OpenAI was able to break through as legitimate development thanks to a few perfect conditions:
The speed, availability, and scale of algorithms across the web enable AI to access greater amounts of data than before
Improvements in the Cloud allow for faster and cheaper data distribution
Major players like IBM and Google are involved
Tools like Siri and Alexa have made consumers more comfortable with AI
Machine learning has scaled exponentially in recent years
As tempting as it is to dismiss AI as yet another over-hyped promise like self-driving cars and 3D printing, it would be a mistake to underestimate it now.
