5 random yet powerful AIs you can use with ease ✌️

You never know when you’ll need AI to save the day...

Hey AI Puppies,

After spending our summer getting serious about AI, we figured it was time for a bit of a break. Not from diving head-first into different tools (we aren’t going anywhere, pups 🐕), but from seeing AI as something so… sober.

After all, generative AI isn’t the formidable foe or overnight disrupter you hear about in the news.

It is formidable, and it is disruptive, but in many ways, AI is a casual co-pilot – like Slack, Siri, Google Drive, and any other digital tool, but much more capable.

Ready for the chillaxed take on AI you’ve been missing?

For this week’s newsletter, we’re bouncing around different industries and applications to spotlight five low-pressure AI tools you can tap into with ease.

Let’s get into it!

#1: Question Well

In the spirit of Back to School, let’s take a look at an AI tool that seems to help, rather than burden, educators (we very much sympathize with their plagiarism plights).

Meet Question Well, an AI question generator that turns lesson plans, articles, and info dumps into multiple-choice questions.

Even if you’re not a teacher, we can think of plenty of ways to take advantage of the tool, like:

👉Creating practice tests ahead of an exam or review session

👉Coming up with creative questions for business brainstorms

👉Cultivating sophisticated onboarding materials for new team members

Plus, it’s super easy to use and customize. Simply…

  1. Enter a description of the topic

  2. Upload a file or copy and paste a body of text or hyperlink

  3. Add desired learning outcomes and essential questions

  4. Select the questions you like

  5. Export the quiz to Canvas, Quizziz, Quizlet, Kahoot, Blooket, Gimkit, Moodle, or Docs

#2: Find Your Next Book

Whether you’re new to regular reading or an absolute bookworm, everyone struggles with finding a book to read next.

For an on-demand librarian that harnesses the power of the entire internet, check out FindYourNextBook.AI, a generative AI tool that delivers recommendations based on hyper-specific suggestions.

Unlike Goodreads and other social media, you don’t have to sift through hundreds of reviews, articles, and question forums to find something you’ll like.

From the site itself:

“For best results try asking it something very specific. For example, instead of asking for ‘a fantasy book’, ask for ‘Novels about a group of friends trying to survive a zombie apocalypse.’”

It even shows you recent searches from other users for inspo:

With cozy Fall reading sessions just around the corner, now is the perfect time to find your next favorite book!

#3: Whisper Memos

Our next recommendation was sourced from TikTok, which users celebrated specifically for its ability to help people with ADHD.

Meet Whisper Memos, an AI-powered app that records your voice memos, then emails them back to you with summarized transcripts 📲

No more losing track of new ideas and brilliant breakthroughs! Here are a few ideas for application (heads up, it’s only available on iOS at the moment):

👉 During a webinar, class, or reading session, record yourself talking about your most important takeaways

👉 After an important call, open the app and talk through what you need to remember later

👉 Next time you’re lying in bed and crack the code on something you’ve been mulling over, record yourself in the app!

Heck, it can even be a great dream journal.

#4: Tome

Are you the kind of person who’s bursting with brilliant ideas, but can’t always translate them to the page?

Another TikTok find, Tome takes the stress out of perfecting pitch decks, presentations, and shareable documents. In fact, it does 99% of the work for you in seconds!

Here’s how Tome describes itself (the wording is so beautiful, we simply can’t top it):

Tome isn't a deck, or a doc, or a splash page. It's built for the way we communicate today: a fluid, multimedia canvas that lives on the web and looks great on any screen. AI tools built for expression help you explore new approaches and instantly generate new content, so you can get your point across compellingly.

This one is super simple to use: all you have to do is select the type of content you have in mind, then type a sentence or two about the topic you’d like to talk about:

You’ll then receive a ready-made piece of content you can edit as you please!

Just imagine the possibilities when you can get creative without the pressure of perfection 💭

#5: Numerous.AI

Perhaps you’re the type of person who’s comfortable making content, but can’t format spreadsheets to save your life.

If that sounds like you, you’ll love Numerous.AI, a Google Drive extension that can extract text, categorize, generate formulas, and use ChatGPT – all within the cells of your spreadsheet.

On top of the usual writing that ChatGPT can do for you (again, this time completely within Sheets), Numerous.AI only needs a prompt written in plain English to generate powerful formulas; even tricky ones like VLOOKUP, QUERY, and REGEX!

Here’s what it looks like in action:

This tool in particular truly embodies everything we love about generative AI: no matter what skill set comes to you naturally, it’s easy to tap into the power of different ones. AKA… no more excuses – anything truly is possible now 👏
